Introduction and Exigence
As the Earth gets hotter due to human action, the climate changes. These changes have been ongoing and continue to negatively impact the environment. The world will only see worse and worse effects as climate change continues, but just as human action causes a lot of this change, human action can also decrease climate change. So, if everyone knows this change is happening and does not wish for a negative outcome, why has little to no action taken place in recent decades combating climate change? This website seeks to address this issue on why nothing has been done about climate change.
Take the image above for example, this is the Climate Clock in New York City that counts down the amount of time humans have, at current greenhouse gas emission rates, until the world reaches warming over 1.5 degrees Celcius. Reaching this 1.5 degree increase would mean increased disaster, severe weather, and more. What causes New Yorkers to walk past this clock and continue their day like nothing happened even though they probably care about their climate?

In the boxes below, and on the Menu at the top and bottom of each page, check out three of the main reasons why nothing has been done. Individuals are limited through their human psyche and resistant to change. Governments of undeveloped nations face local concerns that result in little attention to domestic policy changes surrounding the climate. Finally at the top of the ladder, global politics includes a wealth of developed nations, but with few exemplars to follow, the climate has been pushed aside.
